Lately, it seems like I’ve been churning out victory at a slower pace then normal. This frustrates me! Part of it, I think, is due to last weeks epic power misfortune - BrightMix was without power for over a week. This meant that we worked from home (or, really, from anywhere). Working from home was ok the first day, but after that it was a drag. I kept stalling and then getting distracted. In addition, I had to miss work on Thursday, so my 3 day work week was followed by a 4 day weekend in which I drove 1,000 miles. I’m sure that hasn’t help much today. Last week also marked the epic end of my host (and the host of some of my freelance clients), so in the middle of it all I had to spend several hours switching their stuff over to new hosts, which caused untold amounts of epic problems. I haven’t even switched my own website(s) yet! Hopefully I get that done tonight…

Another problem that I think may be contributing to slower then normal working is just the nature of what I’ve been working on - RSS Feeds. Now, I, as a computer geek, have known about RSS for quite some time. To be honest, I’ve never used it. I understand the draw to it, but I find it kind of boring. Putting RSS into our app has been a struggle because of that, I think. Today I asked Zink for a list of other stuff we need to do, so I’m going to switch gears for a while and see if that solves any problems. I think it will - that usually has worked for me in the past.

Bonus Blurb: Over the weekend, my mother informed me that she thought my last post about the end of the week was pessimistic and sent the wrong message. I never meant for it to sound negative..the end of the week is a positive thing! I thought I’d set the record straight on that. Anyway, I think my mother is jealous that I get to drink at work and she doesn’t. Zing!
